Campari America has been named exclusive U.S. importer and distributor for Morrison Bowmore Distillers’ McClelland’s single malt Scotch, effective June 1. Previously handled by White Rock Distilleries, McClelland’s is the sixth-largest single malt Scotch brand in the U.S at 55,000 nine-liter cases on 1.9% growth in 2011, according to Impact Databank. Retailing at the accessible price point of around $20-$25 a 750-ml., the recently repackaged brand offers a range of four expressions from Scotland’s key whisky-producing regions, including McClelland’s Highland, McClelland’s Islay, McClelland’s Lowland and McClelland’s Speyside.
Campari America has imported Morrison Bowmore’s Auchentoshan, Bowmore and Glen Garioch single malt Scotch brands in the U.S. since 2008. It also handles the Hibiki, Hakushu and The Yamazaki Japanese whisky brands, which are owned by Morrison Bowmore parent company Suntory.Tagged : Campari America, Scotch, White Rock Distilleries
