October 2, 2012

Retail powerhouse Total Wine & More will enter its 14th state next month when it moves into the Norwalk, Connecticut retail space most recently operated by Wine Nation. The 30,000-square-foot store, located just two miles from a Stew Leonard’s Wines shop, opened in the spring and closed its doors on Sunday, September 30. Wine Nation—which operates another shop in Millbury, Massachusetts—is owned by Tom Trone, brother of David and Robert Trone, Total Wine’s owners. According to Wine Nation, the Total Wine shop in Norwalk will open in late November. At last count, Total Wine—with operations in 13 states, including the most recent markets of Washington State and Texas—owned 85 stores across the country.
