•Alaskan Brewing Co. is readying a December 1 introduction of Alaskan Imperial Red, the latest entry in its limited-edition Pilot Series. A full-bodied, deep mahogany winter seasonal ale, Imperial Red will be released in 22-ounce bombers and on draft in select locations throughout Alaska and in other western states. The company says it will follow with another seasonal, an Alaskan Spring Black IPA, on January 1.
•Colorado’s Oskar Blues Brewery has announced plans to open CHUBurger, a new burger and craft beer-focused restaurant, in its hometown of Longmont early next year. Inspired by the brewery’s Bonewagon food truck, CHUBurger’s farm-to-table menu will feature all-natural beef, bison, salmon and Berkshire pork burgers alongside a selection of Oskar Blues beers. CHUBurger joins the brewery’s flagship Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids and Solids eatery in Longmont, and its Oskar Blues Grill and Brew and Old Chubway restaurants in nearby Lyons, Colorado.
