•Providence, Rhode Island-based Narragansett Brewing Co. is celebrating 122 years in business with its launch of Private Stock Imperial IPA (8.6% abv). A limited edition offering, the new IPA features a blend of American and German ingredients, including Summit, Northern Brewers, Hallertau, Tettanager and Sazz hops. The beer’s label was inspired by an earlier Private Stock Ale label used in the late 1890s. Private Stock Imperial IPA will be available throughout New England, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., packaged in 22-ounce bomber bottles and priced at $5.99-$6.99 each. The entry joins Narragansett’s core portfolio, which features Narragansett Lager, Narragansett Light, Narragansett Cream and four seasonal offerings.
•Germany’s Lammsbräu, billing itself as the world’s oldest organic brewery, is debuting a new winter seasonal, Lammsbräu Organic Winter Spezial, in the U.S. market this month. Winter Spezial is made from local Bavarian organic barley and hops and is packaged in 500-ml. bottles. Handled by Massachusetts-based St. Killian Importing, Lammsbräu is known for its lager and weiss beers, which are distributed in 20 U.S. markets.
