•Cleveland-based Great Lakes Brewing Co. has added two new beers to its 2013 Seasonal Program: Alchemy Hour Double IPA and Rye of the Tiger IPA. The 9.4%-abv Alchemy Hour will be available in 4-packs and on draft starting in February, while the 7.5%-abv Rye of the Tiger will be available in 6-packs, 12-packs and on draft beginning in April. The two brews join seven others in Great Lakes’s 2013 Seasonal Program. Great Lakes’s beers are sold in 13 states and Washington, D.C.
•Seattle’s Elysian Brewing Co. has announced a pair of upcoming first-quarter releases, Savant IPA and Bete Blanche Belgian-style Tripel. Rolling out in mid-January, Savant IPA is a renamed version of the brewer’s Idiot Sauvin IPA, which originally launched under Elysian’s Manic IPA specialty series in February 2012. Savant IPA will be available through April in 22-ounce bottles and on draft in select accounts. Bete Blanche, meanwhile, is a returning spring seasonal, traditionally available between February and March. Made with 100% Northwest pale malt and Slovenian Styrian Goldings hops, the Belgian-style brew will be offered in 22-ounce bottles and 12-ounce-bottle six-packs, as well as on draft. Elysian Brewing’s distribution footprint currently comprises 10 states ranging from the West to the East Coast.
