•Brooklyn Brewery is set to expand distribution into the Memphis market early next year. The brewer has entered into a distribution deal with Budweiser of Memphis, and beers from Brooklyn Brewery are slated to begin appearing in stores and on draft beginning February 4. Budweiser of Memphis confirmed that they will make the brewer’s entire portfolio of beers available in the area. Brooklyn Brewery’s distribution footprint currently covers 25 states across the U.S.
•San Antonio’s Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling has introduced a beer, Small Batch Series No. 4, that has been aged in its own Bourbon barrels. A new variation on the company’s year-round Mesquite Smoked Porter, the beer is 10% abv and aged for 10 months in barrels that were previously used to age Ranger Creek .36 Texas Bourbon. It’s available now in San Antonio, Austin, Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Only about 7,000 (375-ml.) bottles of the Small Batch Series No. 4 were produced. It is also available on draft in small amounts. Ranger Creek’s Small Batch series also includes an English-style Barleywine, a Texas Farmhouse Ale and an Oak-aged Rye Oatmeal Pale Ale.
