•Mukilteo, Washington-based Diamond Knot Craft Brewing is slated to release its spring seasonal, Slane’s Irish-Style Red Ale, later this month. Slane’s (6.6% abv) is brewed with Galena and Willamette hops, as well as Munich, chocolate and caramel malts, among others. The spring ale will be available through March both on draft regionally and in 22-ounce bottles throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as nationally via Total Wine & More. Slane’s joins Diamond Knot’s core portfolio of eight year-round bottled and draft offerings, as well as a variety of seasonals.
•Honolulu’s Island Distillers has introduced a new product, Hawaiian Moonshine, to the Hawaiian market. The 100-proof offering, made of ti root and sugar cane, is inspired by an 18th-century Hawaiian spirit, okolehao. Packaged in a stoneware bottle featuring a swing top, the new moonshine retails for $33 a 750-ml., and is distributed by Johnson Brothers. Island Distillers also produces Hawaiian Vodka and Hawaiian Coconut Vodka.
