•New Jersey-based Winebow Inc. has added Italy’s Ceretto to its import portfolio. The Ceretto family range, which is produced in Piedmont’s Langhe region, offers a variety of red, white and dessert wines sourced from four different estates. Effective March 1, Winebow will handle the family’s Barolo Bricco Rocche, Barolo Brunate, Barolo Prapo, Barbaresco Bricco Asili, Barbaresco Bernardot, Barolo Zonchera, Barbaresco Asij, Dolcetto d’ Alba Rossana, Langhe Rosso Monsordo, Langhe Arneis Blange and Moscato d’Asti in the U.S.
•California’s Foley Family Wines has launched a new experience-driven social club, The Foley Food and Wine Society (FFWS). Targeted toward food, wine and travel enthusiasts, the members-only organization provides access to all-inclusive experiences, events and activities, including invitations to wineries, inns, golf courses, restaurants and more. Member benefits include a concierge service, special offers from Foley Family Wines and its partner properties and enrollment in the club’s Society Points rewards program. Basic membership for The FFWS is currently complimentary, though additional membership levels will later be introduced at different price points.
•Ruth’s Chris Steak House is set to enter China over the next three years, with four restaurants planned for Shanghai and Beijing. Ruth’s Hospitality Group has entered into an agreement with Ko China Hospitality Ltd., a subsidiary of Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchisee-owner Hasmore Ltd., for the openings. The first China restaurant is slated to debut in Shanghai by the end of 2013. There are currently more than 130 Ruth’s Chris Steak House locations nationwide and in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Dubai, Aruba, El Salvador and Singapore.
