•Michigan’s Rochester Mills Beer Co. is set to release a series of Bourbon barrel-aged (BBA) beers. The first to launch will be Snow Dazed Winter Ale, a seasonal that has been aged in Bourbon barrels for 2 months. It will be released on February 18 in limited quantities. Rochester Mills says its expects to roll out at least two more BBA beers this year—BBA Milkshake Stout and BBA Rochester Red Ale. Founded in 1998, the brewer offers around eleven different styles of beer as well as a number of seasonal offerings available across the state of Michigan.

•Spring Green, Wisconsin-based Furthermore Brewing Co. is expanding into Chicago via a partnership with importer and distributor Louis Glunz Beer Inc. Starting this month, Louis Glunz will begin shipping Futhermore’s Knot Stock pale ale and Fatty Boomblatty Belgian-style golden ale to the Chicagoland area, with the brewer’s MakeWeight triple pale ale to follow. The brews will initially be available only on draft, though Furthermore is aiming to add six-packs in the near future. In addition to Illinois, Furthermore’s nine-label portfolio is distributed throughout Wisconsin, as well as select Pennsylvania and Minnesota markets.
