•St. Paul, Minnesota’s Summit Brewing has unveiled the latest offering in its Unchained Series, 100% Organic Ale. The new 4.5%-abv entry is billed as a 100% USDA-certified organic beer, made with organic malts, hops and yeasts. Featuring a light, floral character, the limited edition beer will be rolling out in time for spring, available on draft and in bottles early next month. Organic Ale is the 12th beer in Summit’s experimental Unchained Series, joining the brewer’s core portfolio of seven year-round labels and four seasonals. Summit brews are currently available in 17 states.

•Chandler, Arizona-based SanTan Brewing is planning to expand with a new, $6 million warehouse and production facility, according to local news reports. Featuring a 50-barrel brewhouse, the new, 35,000-square-foot space is expected to boost SanTan’s capacity by more than 500,000 cases annually. Production at the new facility—which will also be located in Chandler—is slated to begin by May. SanTan’s original downtown brewery, meanwhile, will subsequently switch its production focus to small-batch and specialty labels. Founded in 2007, SanTan’s lineup includes four core brews—Devil’s Ale, HefeWeizen Wheat, Epicenter Amber Ale and Hop Shock IPA—and a variety of seasonal and draft-only offerings.
