Major Retail Deal In Indiana As Big Red Acquires 24-Unit United Package Liquors

March 13, 2013

Bloomington, Indiana-based retailer Big Red Liquors has acquired United Package Liquors for an undisclosed sum. Under the deal, Big Red will take over United Package’s 24 Indianapolis retail locations and rebrand them as Big Red stores.

Additionally, Big Red has partnered with United Package’s parent company, LOR Corp., to sign long-term leases for the recently-acquired stores, as well as leases for future Big Red locations in Brownsburg, Westfield and Speedway. The new additions will join Big Red’s existing footprint of 25 stores throughout South Central Indiana.
