April 24, 2013

Federal agents raided the headquarters of Austin, Texas-based liquor retail chain Twin Liquors yesterday morning. The probe is a joint operation involving the FBI, the IRS and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. None of those agencies would comment on the investigation. Twin Liquors owners Margaret and David Jabour could not be reached for comment.

Twin Liquors operates more than 70 units throughout greater Austin and Central Texas. Its market ranges as far north as Waco, west into the Hill Country, east into Bastrop and College Station and south into San Antonio. Revenues aren’t made public, but reliable industry sources estimate Twin Liquors’ annual sales at above $200 million.
