NEWS ALERT: Twin Liquors Releases Statement On Federal Raid

April 25, 2013

Following yesterday’s raid by federal agents of the Austin, Texas headquarters of retailer Twin Liquors, the chain’s owners, David and Margaret Jabour, released a statement this evening, saying they’re still unaware of the raid’s purpose, but are cooperating with the investigation.

“Although we haven’t been told the reason for this investigation, we are cooperating fully with the agencies involved. We are handling this matter with transparency, respect for the agencies and confidence that this will come to an acceptable resolution,” the Jabours said, adding that it’s “business as usual at all Twin Liquors stores.”

The probe is a joint operation involving the FBI, the IRS and the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, none of which are commenting on the investigation. Twin Liquors operates more than 70 units throughout greater Austin and Central Texas.
