May 2, 2013

Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) has appointed Stephen Brauer as President and CEO of Pasternak Wine Imports, effective May 20, Shanken News Daily has learned.

Brauer replaces Jim Galtieri, the founder of Pasternak Wine Imports, who will continue to serve on the Pasternak board and as special advisor to the chairman.

Brauer most recently served as managing director of the Beringer Brand Business Unit at Treasury Wine Estates, where he led a repositioning of the Beringer portfolio and restructured its route to market. He departed that role last summer. Brauer has more than two decades of experience in the fine wine business, including senior roles at Seagram Chateau & Estate, Beam Wine Estates and Pernod Ricard USA.

“We are pleased to welcome Stephen to Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), as the President and CEO of Pasternak Wine Imports,” said Christophe Salin, President and CEO, Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in a statement. “He’s a results-oriented executive, with extensive experience in the fine wine business. We look forward to benefiting from his leadership and his brand building skills, as well as his strong trade relationships with customers and the U.S. distributor network.”
