Tito’s Handmade vodka has been installed as the exclusive vodka aboard all United Airlines flights, replacing Absolut, effective May 1. Tito’s is selling for $7 in United’s economy class, while it’s complimentary in premium cabins. One of the vodka market’s fastest-growing brands currently, Tito’s ($20-$25 a 750-ml. at retail) grew 47% to 850,000 cases in 2012, earning Impact “Hot Brand” honors.

•Montalvo Tequila has expanded its distribution footprint in the U.S. into two new states. It is now available in Florida through Antares, Inc. and New Jersey through MHW, Ltd., with more markets on the way. Montalvo initially launched in April 2012 in New York and California. The brand is a 100%-agave Tequila available in three expressions—Plata ($37.99), Reposado ($43.99) and Añejo ($49.99).

•Castle Brands has appointed Sergio Zyman to its board of directors. Formerly chief marketing officer of The Coca-Cola Co., Zyman is also the founder and chairman of Zyman Marketing Group. His marketing experience also includes stints at PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. Castle Brands’ portfolio of spirits includes Gosling’s Rum, Jefferson’s Bourbon, Jefferson’s Presidential Select and Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon, Knappogue Castle Whiskey, Tierras Tequila and Castello Mio Sambuca, among others.
