•Wisconsin’s New Glarus Brewing Co. has introduced a Belgian Dubbel-style ale to its lineup to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Rolling out this week, the Anniversary Ale is priced around $9 for a 20-ounce bottle. It’s brewed with a combination of American, English and Belgian malts, and American and German hops, and is designed to age. New Glarus is also in the middle of an $11-millon expansion, recently breaking ground on a new 5,000-square-foot addition for storing and cellaring beer, which could expand the brewer’s production from its current 127,000 barrels of beer to over 250,000 barrels a year. The New Glarus portfolio—which includes year-round beers like Moon Man, Serendipity and Spotted Cow, as well as a number of seasonals and the Thumbprint series—are currently only available throughout the state of Wisconsin.
