Terlato Adds Spanish Wine Marco Abella To Portfolio

August 21, 2013

Terlato Wines has entered into a long-term agreement with Marco Abella to import the company’s lineup of Spanish wines to the U.S. Located in the Priorat region of Spain and started by the Marco family in 2001, Marco Abella produces small-lot wines sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards. Terlato will bring three of the wines stateside—its flagship Clos Abella ($85), Mas Mallola ($45) and Loidana ($30)—beginning September 1. Terlato will import approximately 5,000 cases total of the brand this year. Marco Abella will be the only Spanish brand currently in Terlato’s stable. In addition to wines from California, Oregon and Washington, Terlato’s far-reaching portfolio also includes labels from Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Greece, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa and Japan.
