•New Belgium Brewing has announced deals with nine wholesalers across the state of Ohio, which it will enter December 16 with a rollout of 22-ounce Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Seasonal Release (Accumulation White IPA) and Lips of Faith beers. New Belgium’s Ohio distributor lineup includes Superior Beverage Group (MillerCoors), Heidelberg Distributing (Dayton, Toledo, Lorain and a portion of Columbus), Stagnaro Distributing Co. (MillerCoors), Bonbright Distributors (MillerCoors), Classic Brands of Ohio (Anheuser-Busch InBev), Choice Beverage (ABI), Matesich Distributing Co. (ABI), Muxie Distributing (ABI/MillerCoors) and Spriggs Distributing (ABI). Ohio marks New Belgium’s 35th state of distribution.
•Bell’s Brewery has begun construction on a new $1.3 million brewing facility in Escanaba, Michigan. Named the Upper Hand Brewery, the 11,500-square-foot facility will produce a variety of beers and ales for distribution across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, as well as throughout adjacent northern states. Established in 1983, Bell’s Brewery has a portfolio of nine year-round offerings—including its Bell’s Amber Ale, Kalamazoo Stout and Third Coast Beer—and a variety of seasonals and specialties, and currently distributes across 18 states, Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. Last year, the craft brewer produced more than 216,000 barrels.
