Exclusive: Deutsch’s The Calling Adds Russian River Pinot Noir

November 19, 2013

The Calling, the California wine brand created by Peter Deutsch and sportscaster Jim Nantz, is extending its portfolio with two Pinot Noirs from the Russian River Valley. The brand is currently releasing a 2012 Russian River Valley Dutton Ranch Pinot ($37) into national distribution. In addition, a very limited 500-case allotment of Pinot Noir from Russian River’s Fox Den Vineyard will be made available online and to select restaurants later this month.

The newcomers join The Calling’s existing range, which includes a Dutton Ranch Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Dutton Ranch Jewell Vineyard Chardonnay, Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from the Rio Lago Vineyard and a Bordeaux-style Alexander Valley Red Blend named “Our Tribute.”
