•Utica, New York-based Saranac is debuting a new seasonal, Prism Ale, and a new “12 Beers A Springing” mixed pack. Prism Ale (5.2% abv) is a smooth white ale with a colorful finish and is included in the spring pack along with Saranac’s staple Pale Ale, annual favorites and new beers. Forbidden IPA is a new addition at 5.0% abv that will be included with Red IPA (6.0% abv), traditional German lager Dry Hop (6.0% abv) and Irish Stout (5.5% abv). Prism and “12 Beers A Springing” will be available for a limited time.
•Fort Collins, Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing has released two new beers—New Belgium Rewind, a 7%-abv India Pale Ale, and its spring seasonal Belgian-style ale Spring Blonde. Rewind is brewed with Maris Otter and Special B malts, giving it sweet background, while Spring Blonde is a golden ale brewed with pale malts. Spring Blonde, a tribute to traditional Belgian ales, is 6% abv and has a lightly bitter finish. New Belgium Brewing also makes the popular Fat Tire Amber Ale and other Belgian-inspired brews such as Ranger IPA, Rampant Imperial IPA, Shift Pale Lager, Sunshine Wheat, 1554 Black Ale, Blue Paddle Pilsner, Abbey Belgian Ale and Trippel.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
