•Houston, Texas’ Saint Arnold Brewing Company has debuted a variation on its flagship Amber Ale that is dry hopped with Liberty hops. The release is part of the brewery’s 20th anniversary celebration, and will be followed by versions of Amber Ale dry-hopped with Cascade and Mosaic hops respectively. The limited release variations will be available in 22-ounce bottles within the brewery’s distribution footprint. The Amber Ale with Liberty hops features a more intense aroma and flavor profile than the core beer, Saint Arnold says. In 2010, the brewery released Altared Amber, a version that featured Amber Ale wort pitched with Belgian Trappist yeast. Saint Arnold’s portfolio includes seven year-round offerings and five seasonal beers, as well as a root beer.

•Naperville, Illinois-based craft brewer Solemn Oath is expanding with the addition of four new 60-barrel fermenters and a 60-barrel brite tank, nearly doubling its capacity. Upgrades to the operation also include a nearly 19,000 cubic-foot cooler, as well as a new canning line, with which Solemn Oath will be rolling out six-packs of 12-ounce cans. Founded in 2012, Solemn Oath’s brews are distributed by Windy City Distributing in Illinois and Wirtz Beverage in Wisconsin.
