•Eugene, Oregon’s Ninkasi Brewing Company will include two new beers in its upcoming 2015 Flagship Series. Lux, a German-style lager, and Dawn of the Red, an IPA, were limited releases this year but will join Total Domination IPA, Tricerahops Double IPA, Oatis Oatmeal Stout and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout in the brewer’s year-round 2015 lineup. Lux (5.0% abv) is the lightest offering in the series as a Helles Lager and features a small amount of hops. Dawn of the Red (7.0% abv) is an India Red Ale that was originally released as a Rare & Delicious Series beer.

•Clifton Park, New York-based Shmaltz Brewing Co. has unveiled a trio of holiday releases. Launched nationwide earlier this month, Shmaltz’s new Hanukkah, Chanukah: Pass The Beer is a 8%-abv dark ale made with eight hops and eight malts, and is currently available in 12-ounce bottles and four-packs. Just ahead of Thanksgiving, Shmaltz is set to follow with Jewbelation 18, the latest entry in its annual Jewbelation series. A 12.4%-abv black barleywine, Jewbelation 18 features 18 hops and 18 malts, and will be available nationwide in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. In addition, the brewer’s 5th annual He’Brew Gift Pack is set to debut, featuring single 12-ounce bottles of Jewbelation 18; Hanukkah, Chanukah; Funky Jewbelation; Rejewvenator; Reunion Ale ‘14; and St. Lenny’s, as well as year-round labels Death of a Contract Brewer and Messiah Nut Brown Ale. The eight-pack will be available throughout the holiday season.
