•Gruppo Campari has established a new owned distribution network and national office in Canada, and made a series of leadership appointments in the country. Following the integration of Ontario’s Forty Creek whisky last year, the Forty Creek distillery will serve as the bottling plant and warehouse for its namesake brand as well as other select Campari labels. The distillery will also serve as a central office for Campari Canada for some of its production, HR and finance staff. Meanwhile, Campari is opening a new head office in Toronto. Massimo Mottura, president of Campari Canada, has also announced several additions to the national executive team, including Greg Smith, vice president of sales, Chris Staresinic, vice president of marketing; and Bill Ashburn, vice president of production.

•Gatlinburg, Tennessee-based Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine has added Hooters to its national accounts roster, and will be featured on menus at the chain’s locations throughout the country. Ole Smoky’s 100-proof White Lightnin’ Moonshine will be served in Long Island Ice Tea and Bloody Mary cocktails at all corporate and several franchised Hooters locations. In addition to Hooters, Ole Smoky is already present in several on-premise national accounts, including Buffalo Wild Wings, House of Blues, Outback Steakhouse, The Tilted Kilt, Logan’s Roadhouse and some Applebees. Ole Smoky nationally retails 12 flavors of moonshine, such as Moonshine Cherries, Apple Pie Moonshine and Blackberry Moonshine. The brand rose 12.5% to 270,000 cases last year, earning Impact “Hot Brand” honors.
