•Bacardi is introducing a new Tangerine flavor under its flagship rum brand. Commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Bacardi brand’s flavor line, the new Tangerine offering also marks the debut of new packaging for Bacardi’s six core flavored rums—Limon, Pineapple, Coconut, Mango, Dragon Berry and Tangerine. The launch of the new flavor and packaging will be backed by a multi-million dollar media plan, the company says. Bacardi Tangerine is rolling out on- and off-premise, retailing at around $13 a 750ml. bottle.
•Aventura, Florida-based importer Enovation Brands is adding a new brand, Bella Bellina, to its Italian wine portfolio. Bella Bellina (5.5% abv) is made with Italian Moscato and infused with natural fruit aromas in two varieties—strawberry-flavored Moscato Fragolata and lemon-flavored Moscato Lemonata (both $11.99 a 750-ml.). The line is targeted at casual wine drinkers with the tagline “Pretty. Cute. Infused with Fruit.” Enovation Brands’ portfolio also includes brand such as Voga Italia, Luna Di Luna, Lady Lola and Ca’ Montini, among others.
•Italian winemaker Marchesi De’ Frescobaldi has appointed Michael Miller to the role of U.S. export manager. In his new role, Miller is responsible for the Frescobaldi and Danzante brands in the U.S., reporting directly to marketing and sales director Giampiero Bertolini. Alessandro Lunardi remains director of North America for the Ornellaia, Luce della Vite and Attems brands. Miller joins Marchesi De’ Frescobaldi from Excelsior Wines, where he most recently served as regional sales manager for Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont and Massachusetts. The Marchesi De’ Frescobaldi portfolio is handled in the U.S. by Napa’s Folio Fine Wine Partners.
