•Fort Collins, Colorado-based New Belgium Brewing is planning to open a new 10-barrel pilot brewery at Denver’s The Source Hotel. Set to open in the first quarter of 2017, The Source Hotel will feature the 2,000-square-foot brewery on its ground floor, as well as a barrel-aging area on its 8th floor rooftop. The New Belgium pilot brewery will specialize in producing sour beers and other small batch offerings, with the beers available throughout The Source Hotel’s establishments, including its rooftop lounge, The Woods. The pilot brewery will mark New Belgium’s third location, joining its Fort Collins headquarters and second brewing facility in Asheville, North Carolina.

•Oregon’s Pelican Brewing Company is debuting Golden Pelican, a Belgian-style golden ale. Brewed with malted rye and Pale Ale malt and hopped with Aramis and Magnum hops, Golden Pelican (8.5% abv) is the first in Pelican’s series of quarterly Belgian-inspired releases packaged in 750-ml. bottles. Pelican’s range of beers includes six year-round brews offered in bottles and on tap, as well as a number of seasonals, a collection of French and Belgian beers and a series of vintage and strong ales.
