•Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based Smuttynose Brewing Company is bringing back its Big A Double IPA as a year-round brew. Big A will be available beginning in October in four-packs and kegs. The new incarnation of Big A is brewed at a lower 8.5%-abv with Falconer’s Flight, Bravo, Saphir and Citra hops. It will be released in limited amounts initially before a wider rollout.

•Portland, Oregon’s Breakside Brewery is rolling out a new barrel-aged beer, Bon Vivant, the latest addition to its limited reserve bottlings. The dry-hopped Belgian golden ale was aged for six months in Pinot Noir barrels from Archery Summit winery. Bon Vivant (8.4% abv) will be available in Oregon, Washington and Colorado in 22-ounce bottles at $13. With its packaged beers currently limited to 22-ounce bombers, Breakside expects to introduce six-packs of 12-ounces bottles looking ahead, as well as more specialty bottles and sour beers.
