•Whisky Advocate has named Hibiki Japanese Harmony as its Japanese Whiskey of the Year. Part of the Beam Suntory portfolio, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is 43% abv and retails at $65 a bottle. Whisky Advocate is announcing its annual award winners one day at a time on its blog, culminating with the naming of a Lifetime Achievement honoree onDecember 15 and the Distiller of the Year announcement on December 16.

•Guarachi Wine Partners is introducing the Malbec range of Argentina’s Matias Riccitelli in the U.S. Produced in the Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza, the Matias Riccitelli lineup includes Republica Del Malbec ($75), Vineyard Selection Malbec ($50), The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree Malbec ($30) and Hey Malbec! ($20). The Matias Riccitelli expressions join the Bodega Norton, Castillo de Monseran, Montes and Pascual Toso brands, among others, in Guarachi Wine Partners’ import portfolio.

•Integrated Beverage Group (IBG) has acquired Oregon’s Stone Wolf Vineyards for an undisclosed sum. The family-owned winery, established in 1998 in McMinnville, Oregon, is led by its Rascal Pinot Noir, which retails at around $12.99. Rascal is currently distributed in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Ohio, Tennessee, Colorado and the greater New York region. In addition to Stone Wolf, IBG also markets the Cara Mia, Chime and Reaper wine brands.
