Moët Hennessy Sales Rise 6% On Strong Cognac Growth

February 3, 2016

Moët Hennessy posted a 6% organic sales increase to €4.6 billion ($5b) in 2015, with growth driven by a double-digit gain for Hennessy Cognac in the U.S. and “an excellent performance in Europe, the United States and Japan” for its Champagne unit, company said. According to Impact Databank, Hennessy surged 16% to over 3 million cases in the U.S. last year, with Moët Hennessy reporting strong momentum across the entire range. Other Moët Hennessy spirits brands, including Glenmorangie and Belvedere, also showed sustained growth over the course of the year, the group added.
