•Portland, Oregon’s Hood River Distillers has announced a strategic partnership with Seattle craft producer Captive Spirits Distilling intended to boost Captive’s Big Gin franchise. Captive Distilling currently produces 7,500 six-bottle cases annually, and is primed to expand with a new 2,800-square-foot distillery in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood this fall. Currently distributing to 16 states, Captive’s products include Big Gin, Bourbon Barreled Big Gin and Peat Barreled Big Gin. The alliance with Hood River, known for Pendleton Canadian whisky among other brands, will allow Captive to reach its next phase of growth, the company said.

•Brooklyn Brewery is set to move its headquarters from Williamsburg to the Brooklyn Navy Yard by 2018. The Wall Street Journal reports that the pioneering craft brewer will lease a 75,000-square-foot space at the Navy Yard’s Building 77, an industrial warehouse undergoing a $185 million renovation. Brooklyn Brewery’s new headquarters will include offices, production space and a beer garden. The company also intends to maintain a presence in Williamsburg with a retail space or potentially a brewpub, the report added.

•Alaskan Brewing is set to enter Ohio, marking the brewer’s first new market expansion since 2014. Starting this summer, Alaskan Brewing will partner with Ohio’s Columbus Distributing, Heidelberg Distributing, House of La Rose, Matesich Distributing and R.L. Lipton Distributing to launch its Alaskan Amber, Icy Bay IPA and Hopothermia Double IPA, among other labels, throughout the greater Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati areas. Ohio is the 18th state in Alaskan Brewing’s footprint, as well as its easternmost U.S. market.

•Cleveland-based Great Lakes Brewing Company is releasing summer seasonal Steady Rollin’ Session IPA. The 4.8%-abv, single-hop offering is also a part of the company’s Fridge Filler Variety Pack. Steady Rollin’ is brewed with Harrington 2-row and Crystal 45 malts and Mosaic hops. It’s available in six- and 12-packs, in the variety pack and on draft for the summer season.
