•Florida-based St. Augustine Distillery will debut a Florida Double Cask Bourbon next month. Claiming to be the first Bourbon to be put into barrel in Florida since Prohibition, Florida Double Cask was developed in partnership with Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey founding distiller Jake Norris and former Maker’s Mark master distiller Dave Pickerell. The 93.8-proof offering is made with whiskies ranging in age from 16 to 28 months and retails at $50 a 750-ml. In addition to its Bourbon, St. Augustine produces a Florida Cane Vodka, New World Gin and Pot Distilled Rum.
•Bremerton, Washington-based Silver City Brewery is releasing two fall seasonals, Oktoberfest Lager and Sesh Appeal Classic Lager. The Oktoberfest (6.3% abv) is a German-style lager brewed with Pilsner, NW Pale, Caramel, Munich and Carafa malts and Hersbrucker hops, and is available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles through late summer and early fall. Sesh Appeal includes German Pilsner and Vienna malts along with both Hersbrucker and Mt. Hood hops.
