Impact’s “Hot Prospect” Wines Showcase Industry’s Emerging Stars

Impact has released its latest list of Hot Prospect wines, highlighting the emerging wine brands that are poised to become household names in the years ahead.Premium California brands dominated the domestic slate of Hot Prospects this year, with the Golden State accounting for 25 of the 28 honorees. On the import side, Italy and France led the way with nine and five entrants respectively, out of a total of 16 award-winners.

To qualify as Hot Prospects, wine brands must have posted 15% depletions growth in the previous year while also showing consistent growth in the preceding two years. Volumes must reach at least 50,000 cases but not more than 250,000 cases. New products can qualify as Hot Prospects if they pass the 50,000-case mark in their first year.

Domestic wine Hot Prospect brands above 100,000 cases in annual volume include: The Wine Group’s Chloe and Save Me San Francisco; Myx Fusions; O’Neill Vintners & Distillers’ Line 39; DFV’s Bota Brick; King Estate’s Acrobat; Trinchero’s Three Thieves and Charles & Charles; Foley Family Wines’ Guenoc “G” Series; Duckhorn Vineyards; Terlato Wines’ The Federalist; and Scotto Cellars’ Rare 4.

Imported wine winners above 100,000 cases include: Terlato’s M. Chapoutier; Gerard Bertrand; Zonin USA’s Primo Amore; Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits’ Barone Fini; Shaw-Ross’s Chateau d’Esclans; Treasury Wine Estates’ Stellina di Notte; Constellation’s Rosatello; and Vineyard Brands’ Perrin.
