Vinexpo Sets Plans For 2017 Show In Bordeaux

December 7, 2016

Vinexpo is gearing up for its semi-annual exhibition in Bordeaux, scheduled for June 18-21, 2017. Expected to draw 2,350 exhibitors and 48,500 trade visitors, Vinexpo Bordeaux will unveil several new features for its 2017 edition.

The innovations will include a “hosted buyers program” in which as many as 200 key international buyers from e-commerce, off- and on-trade and travel retail will interface with exhibitors; Wow!, an exhibition space devoted to organic and biodynamic wines; a pair of dedicated Riesling tastings taking place on June 20; and two new pavilions focusing on wine growers and niche wines.

American attendance to Vinexpo has been on the rise in recent years, with the show’s 2015 Bordeaux edition drawing 15% more U.S. attendees than its event two years earlier. Americans were the second-largest international contingent at Vinexpo Bordeaux’s last event, after the Chinese. —Daniel Marsteller
