•Venezuela’s Diplomático Rum has unveiled a Tradition Range, featuring its flagship Reserva Exclusiva ($40 a 750-ml.) and two new rums. Joining the lineup are Mantuano ($24), a 40%-abv blended rum aged for up to eight years, and Planas ($29), a 47%-abv blended white rum aged up to six years. Diplomático’s Tradition Range will be available in select U.S. markets starting this February. The Diplomático brand—whose core portfolio also includes Añejo ($18), Blanco ($30) and Reserva ($25) offerings—is handled by Domaine Select Wine & Spirits’ Classic & Vintage Artisanal Spirits subsidiary in the U.S.
•Heineken USA is debuting a new Orange Blossom flavor under its Strongbow cider brand. Recommended to be served over ice, Strongbow Orange Blossom is at 4.5% abv and is launching in six-packs of 11.2-ounce bottles in March. It will also replace Strongbow Ginger in the brand’s 12-bottle variety pack. Strongbow’s other flavors include Gold Apple, Honey and Cherry Blossom.
•California’s Castle Rock Winery has extended its lineup with the launch of a new Rosé of Pinot Noir. Sourced from Mendocino County, Castle Rock’s Rosé of Pinot Noir is rolling out across select U.S. markets, retailing at around $12 a 750-ml. The offering is limited to 12,000 cases. Rosé of Pinot Noir marks the 10th varietal in Castle Rock’s portfolio, joining the brand’s Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petite Sirah and Pinot Grigio, among others.
