Palm Bay Expands Spirits Lineup With New Tequila, Vodka Entries

February 15, 2017

New York-based Palm Bay International is bolstering is spirits stable with two new brands this month, adding premium propositions Tequila Bribón and Ravo vodka. Tequila Bribón represents a new Palm Bay partnership with family-owned Tequila producer Casa Don Roberto. The premium brand, which retails at $20 a 750-ml., is made with 100% blue agave, fermented with a proprietary yeast strain and distilled in both pot and column stills. The new silver Tequila (80 proof) is debuting nationwide.

Palm Bay’s new Ravo vodka, meanwhile, is a gluten-free Swedish brand made from winter wheat and distilled five times. Ravo is initially rolling out across the New York tri-state area, retailing at around $20 a 750-ml., with national expansion to follow. Ravo joins the U.K.’s Chase vodka in Palm Bay’s lineup, while Bribón complements’ Palm Bay’s existing Chamucos Tequila. The company’s spirits range also includes Wemyss Scotch whiskies, Walsh Whiskey from Ireland, Darnley’s View gin and Bottega liqueurs among others.

“We’re a wine company, but we want our spirits portfolio to be significant,” says Palm Bay president and CEO Marc Taub. “Right now, the category comprises less than 5% of our business, but we think it’ll reach about a 20% share in five years.” —Daniel Marsteller
