•Proximo Spirits’ 1800 Tequila has unveiled the latest edition of its annual Essential 1800 Artist Series. This year’s range features six 1800 Silver Tequila label designs created by artist Enoc Perez. Available this month in select U.S. markets, each limited edition bottle is priced at $34 a 750-ml. 1800 sells over 1 million cases in the U.S. annually, according to Impact Databank.
•Brown-Forman is set to debut a new Southern Peach flavor under its Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails RTD range. Southern Peach, which Jack Daniel’s created in collaboration with R&B singer K. Michelle, is launching in six Southern states next month ahead of a national rollout in early summer. Southern Peach joins Jack Apple, Black Jack Cola, Cherry Limeade, Berry Punch, Downhome Punch, Lynchburg Lemonade and Watermelon Punch in the Country Cocktails range.
•Boston Beer Co.’s Truly Spiked & Sparkling is expanding its line of lightly sweetened hard seltzers with a Lemon & Yuzu flavor. Rolling out nationwide, the 5%-abv hard seltzer is gluten-free and contains 100 calories and 1 gram of sugar. The company says it balances the familiar citrus punch of lemon with yuzu, a tart Asian citrus fruit, which is gaining popularity as an ingredient in cocktails and drinks in the U.S. Six-packs of Truly Spiked & Sparkling hard seltzer retail at around $10.
•Sonoma-based V2 Wine Group has named Glenn Basser vice president, sales, East division. A 20-year industry veteran, Basser has previously served with Charmer Distributing, Kobrand, Grgich Hills and Folio Fine Wine Partners.
