Exclusive: TD Artisan Spirits Grows Stable With Greenhook Ginsmiths

April 10, 2017

TD Artisan Spirits, a joint marketing venture between Terlato Artisan Spirits and Distell USA, has added Greenhook Ginsmiths to its portfolio. Based in Brooklyn, Greenhook Ginsmiths produces three upscale expressions, including its American Dry Gin ($34 a 750-ml.), Old Tom Gin ($46) and Beach Plum Gin Liqueur ($50). TD Artisan Spirits plans to expand the brand—which has primarily been sold throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut—nationwide.

“Greenhook is doing 6,000 cases in just those three states, so we’ll look to expand on that,” says Terlato Wine Group president and CEO Bill Terlato. “The spirits group is also looking for other acquisitions, both imports and domestics, with whiskies being a priority.”

Greenhook is now the third gin in the TD Artisan lineup, joining English import Langley’s No. 8 Gin and American-made Heartland Prohibition Gin. TD’s import and craft spirits collection also includes the Black Bottle, Tobermory, Ledaig, Deanston, and Bunnahabhain Scotch whisky brands as well as Amarula Cream liqueur, Angostura rum and amaro, Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky, Riazul Tequila and Spring Mill Bourbon, among other labels. —Christina Jelski
