•Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Founders Brewing is re-launching Doom, an Imperial IPA, as the latest entry in its Barrel-Aged Series. First brewed in 2013 as part of Founders’ Backstage Series, Doom is aged in Bourbon barrels and will begin rolling out in mid-May, offered in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles ($15) and 750-ml. bottles ($12). The IPA marks the third 2017 release in the brewer’s Barrel-Aged Series, following the debut of Frootwood in February and KBS in April. Two additional Barrel-Aged offerings are slated to launch before the end of the year.

•Boulder, Colorado’s Avery Brewing Co. is partnering with Northeast Beverage Corp. and Hartford Distributing to re-enter the Connecticut market. Avery Brewing had previously pulled out of the state due to production constraints. Starting today, Avery’s lineup—including its White Rascal Belgian-Style White Ale, El Gose German-Style Sour Ale and Botanicals & Barrels series, among other labels—will begin shipping throughout Connecticut, bringing the brewer’s U.S. footprint to 35 states.
