•The Jura single malt Scotch whisky brand, imported by E.&J. Gallo, has debuted a new extension, Jura 10. The newcomer is a mixture of peated and unpeated malt, matured for 10 years in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. The 40% abv whisky retails at $55 a 750-ml. and is available nationwide.

•Brown-Forman’s Old Forester has partnered with Twentieth Century Fox Film and MARV Films to release Old Forester Statesman, a new Bourbon inspired by the upcoming movie “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” Made with the same mashbill as the core Old Forester expression, Statesman ($55 a 750-ml.) is a straight Bourbon bottled at 95 proof. Statesman will be available starting in August, ahead of the “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” premiere on September 22. Old Forester was up nearly 19%, to 176,000 cases, in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Medea Inc. has sold its eponymous vodka brand to Bevriqo Corporation for an undisclosed sum. Medea, an import from the Netherlands known for its bottles that feature a programmable LED display, sold 100,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Breakthru Beverage, RNDC and Southern Glazer’s are among the brand’s U.S. distributors. Bevriqo, led by Rich Cabael as CEO, will now do business as Medea Vodka. Medea Inc. is exiting the beverage alcohol business to focus on licensing its proprietary technology.
