•Louisville-based Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. is launching two Kentucky copper pot-distilled gins: an American Dry Gin using an apple brandy base, and an American Old Tom Gin using a grape brandy base. Copper & Kings American Dry Gin is at 92 proof and retails at $35 a 750-ml., while the Old Tom offering is at 100 proof and will sell at $40 a 750-ml.
•Tucson, Arizona’s Hamilton Distillers will debut its first cask strength American single malt whiskey on September 1. The whiskey will be bottled at roughly 60%-abv and is made from malted barely produced by the distiller. The company will celebrate the whiskey’s launch with a release event at the distillery on September 1 and launch events at six bars each in Tucson and Phoenix on the second and third. The whiskey will retail for $62 a 750-ml. and will be released statewide on September 15.
•This fall, Scotland’s Innis & Gunn will release the inaugural beers in two new small-batch series: Latitude and Longitude, and Vanishing Point. The first release in the Latitude and Longitude series will be a 6.0%-abv Raspberry Saison brewed with wild yeast and matured with raspberries in ex-Bourbon casks. Vanishing Point’s initial release will be an 11%-abv Imperial Stout aged for six months in Bourbon barrels. Both beers will be available in 500 ml. bottles in gift boxes.
