•San Diego-based Green Flash Brewing has detailed plans to open a third brewery in Lincoln, Nebraska. The new outpost will be located in an existing 10,000-square-foot facility, which also comprises a tasting room and restaurant. The site’s brewery is expected to have an annual capacity of 10,000 barrels, while the 2,000-square-foot eatery will mark Green Flash’s first full-scale restaurant venture. The Lincoln brewery, which is expected to be operational by the end of the year, joins Green Flash’s original San Diego headquarters and East Coast production facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Green Flash has a distribution footprint spanning all 50 states.

•Backbone Bourbon Co. has released Bone Snapper X-Ray Rye Four Year Reserve whiskey. The 55%-abv whiskey was distilled by MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and bottled by Backbone in Bardstown, Kentucky. This whiskey is the four-year expression of the company’s younger Bone Snapper Rye, which is bottled after two years of aging at 54% abv. The small batch whiskey—only 550 six-packs were produced—is available in select markets throughout Backbone’s 25 state distribution footprint.
