•Samuel Adams has opened a new taproom at its Boston brewing facility. The brand’s Brewery Tap Room—which marks an expansion of Samuel Adams’ footprint within the historic Haffenreffer Brewery, originally built in 1871—offers pints and flights of rotating experimental beers, as well as flagship brews like Boston Lager and Winter Lager. Customers will also have the opportunity to taste Samuel Adams New England IPA prior to its national distribution in 2018. The Brewery Tap Room is open to the public seven days a week from 11am to 8pm.Additionally, Samuel Adams has unveiled a new Bier Keller for barrel-aging such experimental beers as barleywines, oak-aged saisons and Scotch ales.

•Cooperstown, New York’s Brewery Ommegang has released its latest Game of Thrones-inspired beer, Winter is Here. The brew is an 8.3%-abv Belgian-style double white ale that features Game of Thrones’ Night King character on the label. The beer is nationally available on draft and in 750-ml bottles, which retail for a suggested price of $11.99. In addition, the new offering will be available in a gift set with a commemorative glass and a bottle of the previous Game of Thrones release, Fire and Blood Red Ale, for a suggested price of $23.99. Ommegang is part of Duval Moortgat USA.
