Foglio, Berry Bros. Increase Stake In Anchor Distilling As Greggor Departs
December 4, 2017Anchor Distilling co-owner Keith Greggor has agreed to sell his shares in Anchor Distilling to partners Tony Foglio and Berry Bros. & Rudd. Financial details were undisclosed. Foglio and Greggor, two former Skyy Spirits executives, acquired Anchor Brewing & Distilling in 2010 from home-appliance heir Fritz Maytag. The two industry veterans partnered with Berry Bros. & Rudd on the venture, with the U.K.-based firm holding a significant minority stake.
Greggor’s exit from the business comes following Sapporo’s $85 million acquisition of Anchor Brewing this past August. Anchor Distilling has been building a diverse whisk(e)y portfolio and has annual volume approaching a quarter-million cases. Foglio told SND in August that the company is planning a new distillery and visitor center in San Francisco.
