•Kansas City, Missouri-based J. Rieger & Co. has detailed its new 60,000-square-foot distillery and tourism facility. The new facility, which will allow the company to expand production, will feature multiple bars, a gift shop, and educational experiences alongside distillery tours. To ensure that the distillery experience runs smoothly, J. Rieger has brought in a management team with experience in high-end hospitality across the U.S. J. Rieger & Co.’s portfolio includes Kansas City Whiskey and Midwestern Dry Gin, among other releases.

•AleSmith Brewing Company has introduced the Hopwright Series, six IPAs that will debut over the course of the year and into 2020. The first in the line-up, released Monday, is Brütiful Day, a 7.2% abv Brut IPA. It will be followed by ¡Muy Sabroso! (6.5% abv), made with Sabro hops and out in mid-May. Future entrants will include Tasmanian Bliss (5.8% abv), brewed with Australian hops; Tropical Marmalade (7.1% abv), brewed with Aloha hops; Exercise in Fruitility (6.5% abv), made with Citra hops, coconut, and passion fruit; and Oishii Desu (6.3% abv), brewed with Sorachi ace hops, rice, and yuzu. The San Diego, California-based craft brewer has set retail pricing at $14 a 6-pack throughout their 27-state distribution area.
