•Cloverdale, California-based Bear Republic Brewing Company released the latest in its Challenge Series with #06 Smells like Citrus IPA. It’s brewed to 7% abv with four pounds of hops per barrel, a mixture of Amarillo, Mandarina Bavaria, Citra, and Cascade. The beer is available in Bear Republic’s distribution area in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. Known for their acclaimed Racer 5 IPA, Bear Republic ranked No. 49 in sales volume for a craft brewery, according to the Brewers Association.
•Michigan’s New Holland Brewing Company is releasing a new beer developed in partnership with outdoor retailers REI, Merrell, and Woosah Outfitters to celebrate the centennial of Michigan State Parks. Called Lake and Trail Copper Lager, the 4.8% brew will play a central role in a series of hike and beer dinners benefiting Michigan State Parks.
