•San Francisco, California’s Hotaling & Co. has brought Severo, a new luxury priced Tequila, to the U.S. The Tequila, made by the team behind Tequila Don Roberto, comes in four expressions—Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Cristalino—all bottled at 40% and priced from $50 to $80. The Severo portfolio is now available in California and New Jersey, with Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Texas coming soon, ahead of a full national push.
•Brockmans gin has extended its distribution into the Minnesota and Washington markets. The brand has appointed American Northwest Distributors in Washington and Vinocopia Distributors in Minnesota. The U.K. import, which retails at $35 a 750-ml., is now present in 28 states throughout the country, and is partnered with Blue Ridge Spirits & Wine Marketing.
•Jim Beam has debuted a new line of canned Highballs. The releases come in at 5% abv and are made with Bourbon and either seltzer or ginger ale. The RTDs come in individual 355-ml. cans for around $2.50 or in 4-packs for around $10. Both Jim Beam Original and Ginger Highballs are now available across the U.S. Last fall, Beam Suntory acquired premium RTD cocktail brand On The Rocks for an undisclosed sum, bolstering its position within the fast-rising category.
•Riboli Family Wines has named Paul Roberts as senior vice president of sales, North America. Roberts spent the past 20 years at Banfi Vintners, where his most recent role was vice president of sales. At Riboli, he will be responsible for leading and developing the sales divisions across the organization, which is known for its Stella Rosa brand as well as its Riboli Estates Group.
