•Seattle, Washington’s Westland Distillery has announced the third iteration of Solum American Single Malt Whiskey, the brand’s peated expression. The 50% abv whiskey is set to hit shelves at the end of the month and carries a suggested price of $150 a 700-ml. Solum is made with peat sourced from a local bog and ages for four years in a combination of new and used casks. Only 5,700 bottles of the third edition of Solum will be released. Last year, the Rémy Cointreau brand was at 4,000 cases in the U.S., according to an estimate from Impact Databank.

Old Forester, part of the Brown-Forman portfolio, has released the latest batch of Extra Old, the newest installment in the brand’s 117 Series of limited releases. The whiskey begins as Old Forester’s 1910 Bourbon before an 18-month secondary maturation in new oak. The release is bottled at 46.5% abv and carries a suggested price of $65 a 375-ml. bottle. Old Forester Extra Old is now available in select Kentucky retailers, at the brand’s distillery, and DTC in Kentucky, New Hampshire, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Washington D.C.

Breakthru Beverage Group has extended its partnership Provi, allowing Breakthru’s customers the option to manage orders through Provi’s digital marketplace. The partnership covers all 16 of Breakthru’s markets and, according to Breakthru, complements the distributor’s proprietary Breakthru Now management platform. “Provi’s marketplace provides strong value and time savings for retailers who prefer this method of ordering our products. It is essential for us to meet our customers where they are and provide an elevated digital experience at every touchpoint,” said Mike Boswell, vice president, digital and e-commerce at Breakthru. Breakthru is the third-largest wine and spirits distributor in the U.S. with estimated revenues of $8.7 billion for 2024, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.
