Foley Family Wines Makes New Move Down Under

April 25, 2011

Through its New Zealand operation, California-based Foley Family Wines has acquired a non-controlling stake in Wineinc, an Australian wine group known for brands such as Gotham, Wine Men of Gotham, Stalking Horse and StepXStep (SXS in the U.S.), among others.

Founded in 2004 and well established throughout Australia, the U.S., Singapore, Japan and China, Wineinc will “expand the global reach of our portfolio,” said Bill Foley, owner and operator of Foley Family Wines. Concurrently, Wineinc co-founder and 30-year industry veteran Bruce Clugston has been named president of Foley Family Wines New Zealand, assuming global responsibility for Foley brands like Clifford Bay, Vavasour, Goldwater and Dashwood.
