•Diageo has announced its 8th Annual Golden Bar Awards, honoring its U.S. wine, spirits and beer distributors. Empire Merchants metro New York division Atlantic Wine & Spirits took home Distributor of the Year honors for both wine and spirits, while Glazer’s of Texas won that title for beer.

•Russian Standard has released a limited edition Moscow Mule co-pack in the U.S. Available only through the summer, the pack is priced at $18.99 and features a 750-ml bottle of Russian Standard vodka and an accompanying bottle of Regatta Ginger Beer. Russian Standard—which named TDA Boulder as its new U.S. media agency in May—has been pushing hard to increase its presence in the U.S. market, where volume rose 30% in 2010 to 196,000 cases, according to Impact Databank.

•Dallas-based Heritage Auctions has announced wine sales of more than $2.7 million for the group’s Signature Wine Auction, held last month in Beverly Hills, California. The auction—jointly organized by Heritage and its recently acquired subsidiary Greg Martin Auctions—featured 768 lots and had a 96% sell-through rate. Top sellers included three cases of Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2000, which went for between $29,875 and $31,070, and a case of Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1982, which was the auction’s highest sale at $50,788.
