Italian Wine Imports Expanding Rapidly In 2011August 25, 2011
Italian wine exports to the U.S. market jumped by roughly 23% in both volume and value during the first five months of 2011, according to the Italian Wine & Food Institute, which adds that Italian wine accounted for 31.3% of U.S. imported wine market volume during that period. Just a few years ago, Australia appeared as though it would overtake Italy as the leader of the U.S. imported wine market.
