•Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) has appointed Blaise D’Sylva as vice president, media, sports and entertainment marketing beginning January 16. D’Sylva replaces Mark Wright, who left ABI last June to join AT&T, and will report directly to Paul Chibe, vice president of U.S. marketing. In his new role, D’Sylva will oversee planning of ABI’s major media investments on a national and local level as well as sports marketing opportunities with professional leagues such as the NFL, NBA and MLB among others (ABI spends as much as $350 million on sports marketing annually). He served most recently as senior director, sales manager at ESPN in Chicago and before that acted as director of media integration for Allstate Insurance Co.
